One of the best spots of tried in a while. The arepas are made in front of you, and customer service goes above and beyond. Felt like a guest. 100% recommend. So many different options outside arepas. This place just opened up and I wouldn’t be surprised if it had a line out the door in the next couple of weeks. Oh and it’s affordable!

So happy I found this spot! I grew up having arepas, and this was the BEST Reina Pepiada I’ve ever had. The staff was very kind and the location was clean and organized! Arepas made and prepared right in front of you. My new neighborhood spot!

New Arepas Spot in Ridgewood Solid First Impression I noticed a new arepas spot in the neighborhood it was eye-catching enough to make me stop check it out. I’m not the type to promote anything unless I really enjoy it, so I walked in with an open but honest mindset. The menu was a little overwhelming at first lots of options and combinations—but after sitting down and asking a few questions, I got my bearings. I ended up ordering the Arepa de Pabellón, which came stuffed with shredded beef, black beans, sweet plantains, and cheese. It was absolutely delicious flavorful, well-balanced, and super satisfying. The spot itself seems like a new location, not very busy yet. It’s pretty small inside, more of a grab-and-go kind of place with a small table and a window seat. While I was there, someone was actually taking photos and videos of the food ,looks like they’re gearing up to promote it more. The woman who took my order was very pleasant and kind, which stood out. Some of the other staff were a bit more reserved, and I think warm, welcoming service could really make a difference in drawing people in especially for a new place. I spent about $14 on the arepa, and with a drink and a small tip, it came to around $20 total. For the quality of food, I’d say that’s fair. If you’re Ridgewood and want to try a new Latin comfort food spot, this place is worth a visit especially if you’re craving a flavorful, handheld bite like a good arepa.
