The food is super authentic. My husband and I are also from NYC (jackson heights /astoria) and 1st generation from ecuadorian and brazilian parents. Let me start off to say the prices are very reasonable for the quality and size of the plates. We ordered two entrees, two juices and a soda. The bill came out to 70. For the person who thought 100 was unreasonable for 2 people clearly was expecting low quality or fast food. I would be coming back more to support this restuarant because the food has been absolutely amazing. Its very hard to find good latin food in columbus.

If you are looking for authentic home made food this is the place to go, me an my wife got the mixed plate which is pork, rice, beans, and a veggie mix. The blackberry drink in milk or water is absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this if you've never tried a mixture of Latin foods that is absolutely to die for.

The food was excellent!!!! I really enjoyed it. I recommend the encebollado and the whole fried fish. The encebollado was authentic and my Ecuadorian husband loved it. It was the best food I’ve had in a long time. Kind servers and we were really happy with our experience.

Oh my… this is by far my favorite South American restaurant ever!!! The food tastes just like back home. The quality and quantity are just perfect. If you want to try new something new, please come to Los Galapagos. You won’t regret it.
