This place is hands down the best I have ever had in LA! I visited Guatemala back in 2017 and had some of the best food of my life, but I haven’t found many spots around LA that live up to that standard for Central American cuisine. This place went above and beyond, might be a new favorite. Where to begin? The restaurant was very clean and comfortable, the food felt home cooked, and the staff was so warm and friendly. I ordered the churrascos and my boyfriend had the caldo de res. We brought his younger brother with who is a terribly picky eater and the staff had no problem making him just an omelette with a side of black beans. Would also highly recommend getting the tortillas (hand made!!). The thing that left the greatest impression on me was the ambiance. Something about the marimba music, the food, and the lovely employee who served us (Ask for sandra when you go) made it feel like I was right back on that trip I took. I don’t usually take the time to write reviews like this but this place really deserved it. I feel like I’ve struck gold before anyone else. If you’re looking for a hidden gem in LA this should be top of your list to visit.

A small artisanal tamale shop I found via local reviews. They sell unique flavors: pumpkin‑seed mole, lime‑bean, and spicy chicken. I tried a mole one—warm, velvety, and slightly sweet. Hands down this is my favorite place to grab breakfast, lunch and dinner! The food is full of flavor, the staff are kind and friendly, and best of all, they share their culture not just through taste but great music. Highly recommend!
