Fantastic restaurant! They have a nice variety of food and it’s much more than just bar food. The women who run it are wonderful and very willing to help you if your Spanish is not the best. I’m a vegetarian and I went with my sister who is an omnivore. I had no trouble finding things to eat and it is all DELICIOUS! Highly recommend! We’ve been several times and plan to go back a couple of more times before our trip is over. Fun and relaxed atmosphere with great prices. Just try it!😁🥂

Fren! An outdoor restaurant, right across the street from Novotel. Exceptional everything... prices, service, atmosphere, safety, comfort, music, food quality, value (food and drink), everything. Feels like a beachfront restaurant, but in the city. The vibe at Fren is 10 out of 5, so Exceptional. Temperature 29°C feels like 33°C , winds 16km/hr gusting to 24km/hr,... Cannot describe how incredible it feels. Been here many times, ourselves and with others.

It's a GEM! If you're anywhere within an Uber ride you should definitely give this place a try! I had one of their traditional dishes with marinated beef, rice,beans, cheese, egg and fried plantains. It was very tasty, full of flavor! Service was great. The prices are super reasonable. I will be back to try more before the end of our vacation!
