I was running hungry downtown, the rain was starting to come down hard when I eyed this restaurant. It caught my attention for its interesting name including "Latin Asian", a name that was neither inaccurate nor disappointing as their menu items reflect what they advertise. I was cold, tired, and slightly hungry- needing to leave room for a later dinner- and so wanted to pick at several appetizers with a friend, which this restaurant was perfect for. The first good sign was the steam rising, heat emanating from each dish served hot to the touch. I ordered the pork belly skewers, juicy with just enough toughness to be fun to chew, spring rolls, perfectly thin and crisp on the outside and extremely soft and flavourful on the inside, becoming a surprise highlight of my meal, and empanada, which was the size of both of my fists together and sopping in enough oil to warrant invasion by everyone's favourite stripes and stars- so much oil that it was literally drenching and dripping down my hands, delicious but maybe a little dangerous. While pricing felt slightly expensive for some items, they were generally fair, as were portions. Staff was friendly and service was good, though initially slow to take orders and taking a bit more time than expected to serve the dishes, which maybe is a good sign that everything is cooked fresh. Something I could crave every once in a while, and a restaurant I'm glad I know exists. 5.2/10.

This was a last minute choice for us when our other plans fell through and we are so glad that we did. The staff were attentive and friendly, and the prices were more than reasonable! I had a hard time deciding on anything, so I ordered half the menu and every bite brought my wife and I audible excitement! Nothing was disappointing! The mini arepas were soft AND crispy, the tequeños were incredible, huge fresh shrimp in the fried rice, the brine on the chicken was delicious, and don’t sleep on the dumplings in chili sauce. We took the leftovers back to the hotel and ate on them for two days. My wife and I are legitimately sad that we will have nothing close to this back home. If we lived in San Francisco this would be a weekly stop. We ate fancy, touristy, and casual; and out of everything we ate on this trip, this was 100% our favorite, and it wasn’t even close.

The owner (I think) Christina was telling us about how her folks immigrated to Venezuela and then to San Francisco. The food here was fantastic. My wife got a half roasted duck and I got the sesame pork. We shared the Buddha’s Delight veggie. The food arrived quick and was hot and amazing. I love the refinished grotto like atmosphere and the music was something you’d want to dance to. An amazing experience, would definitely come back!

You can tell this is a loved neighborhood spot. The vibe here is just comfortable. I came here because the idea of the fusion sounded good. And it did not disappoint. Everything I had was so delicious. But something about the way they made their plantains felt extra special. The service was really good as well. Everyone was friendly and had a good story about the restaurant. Highly recommend.

Delicious Venezuelan food! We ordered empanada with shredded beef, Tequeños (cheese sticks), Sancocho de res (beef soup), plantain and a combo of chicken and fried rice. Food were fresh, crispy and tasty. Service was very fast and friendly. This restaurant is very clean and cozy. Highly recommended.
